175th Anniversary

In 2008, the RJA&HS is celebrating its 175th Anniversary.

The year will be marked by a number of celebration events – so watch this space for more information!

The highlight of the Anniversary will be the ‘Foire de Jersey’ event on the May Bank Holiday. A chance for all the family to enjoy the countryside – with a food fair, hospitality and entertainments – as well as the Island’s major Cattle Show of the year – this promises to be one of the Island’s main events of the 2008 calendar.

During 2008 the RJA&HS is also hosting 18th World Jersey Cattle Bureau Conference. The event takes place every three years and Jersey cattle breeders from 38 member countries worldwide, gather to discuss issues affecting Jerseys around the world, share experiences and knowledge and develop relationships between the international Jersey community.
